Abstract

The 10th International Conference on Replicating Oncolytic Virus Therapeutics was held in Vancouver, Canada from October 1–4, 2016. The agenda for the meeting comprised lectures from several streams within the field of oncolytic viral therapeutics. Exploring the strengthening relationship among oncolytic viruses, cancer immunology, and immunotherapy; gaining an understanding for effective therapeutic delivery routes; and learning of exciting results from translational studies all featured prominently among areas discussed. As the field matures, commercialization and patient-centered research have become important avenues for growth; however, an abundance of high quality laboratory-based science continues to be performed in order to optimize future therapeutic approaches. Here, we summarize the latest innovations presented at this meeting.
