Abstract

DACP is an emerging technology that allows for the direct visualization of the biliary and pancreatic ducts. Formerly a dedicated mother-daughter system was required. Currently, a variety of miniscopes can be passed through a standard therapeutic duodenoscope. Although the initial investment is significant, DACP may expand the management options for pancreaticobiliary disorders in selected clinical settings. However, the published clinical experience is limited to several tertiary centers and its utility in other settings is less certain.
