Abstract
118 Consecutive patients with histologically confirmed diagnosis of carcinoma of the colon discharged during a 10 yr period (1962 to 1971) from a general hospital in Teheran were studied. 25 Patients (21%) were younger than 30 yr of age and 6 patients were under 18 yr of age. None had familial polyposis or ulcerative colitis. The data are suggestive of a younger age distribution of this disease in the population, as compared with that of the Western countries.
