Abstract

The ANALYZE system has been developed to provide comprehensive, detailed capabilities for quantitative investigations and evaluation of 3-D and 4-D biomedical images. The package is unique in its synergistic integration of fully interactive modules for direct display, manipulation, and measurement of multidimensional image data. Several original algorithms are included which improve image display efficiency and quality. A wide variety of spatial, frequency and adaptive filters are available for image enhancement, smoothing, convolution, deconvolution, Fourier analysis, etc. ANALYZE is written entirely in C and runs on most standard UNIX workstations.
