Abstract

In this patient, both the symptomatology and roentgenograms were consistent with the diagnosis of tuberculous spondylitis, the diagnosis of coccidioidomycosis being determined only by bone biopsy. The patient had had a flu-like illness six months previously, and this was associated with a pulmonary nodule that apparently resolved. It is probable that this was his primary infection.
