Abstract

A well integrated team consisting of paramedical supervisors, physician endoscopist chair, and institutional administrator are necessary for the efficient operation of a state-of-the-art endoscopy unit and the satisfaction of patients and all levels of personnel. The responsibilities of each of the key management individuals is addressed along with major issues such as procedure scheduling, equipment procurements, record keeping and billing, and education.
