Trigeminal sensory neuropathy due to dural external carotid cavernous sinus fistula

Abstract

We describe a woman who had isolated facial numbness that was caused by a spontaneous dural external carotid cavernous sinus fistula. The unusual syndrome mimicked trigeminal sensory neuropathy and was attributed to vascular compromise of the gasserian ganglion.
