Abstract

Faster computing platforms and improved software have recently enabled much better postprocessing techniques for three-dimensional ultrasound. This article provides an overview of threedimensional ultrasound technology and describes features available in current state-of-the-art ultrasound imaging equipment. The main clinical applications are listed.
