Abstract

A high yield, multigram synthesis of both enantiomers of p-(4- hydroxybenzoyl)phenylalanine, cross-linking probes for peptide-protein binding interactions, is reported. The synthesis was accomplished using Schollkopf chiral auxiliary reagents.
