Surgical treatment of vertebral and posterior inferior cerebellar artery aneurysms

Vertebrobasilar and PICA aneurysms are uncommon. A far lateral or suboccipital exposure is the preferred approach to most of these aneurysms. In general, good or excellent surgical results can be expected, particularly for laterally located aneurysms.
