Abstract

The many surgical approaches to the hip continue to evolve and progress has been made over the past 10 years. Perioperative patient management has helped optimize outcomes. Advances in component design have led to the generation of improved bearing surfaces, which has led to increased wear resistance and decreased rates of osteolysis.
