Abstract

The importance of continued surveillance for recurrence of pulmonary arteriovenous malformation (PAVM) is underscored in this case of a patient who experienced both brain and spinal cord abscesses 2 years apart in association with PAVMs. In both cases, analysis of fluid from the brain and spinal cord abscesses demonstrated α-hemolytic streptococci.
