Abstract

In the surgical field, precise risk scores (Euroscore, Parsonnet) have been developed to estimate the early mortality hazard related to the intervention. Identical risk models have been published in interventional cardiology. They take into account clinical, hemodynamic, and angiographic features and can therefore be calculated from a careful review of the patient’s records and cine-images. Classical clinical and hemodynamic features include: age, diabetes, degree of emergency, peripheral vascular disease, and left ventricular dysfunction with shock in particular.
