Abstract

Data discussed in summary suggest that post-LT HCV infection may be most amenable to therapy initiated on a prophylactic basis early in the post-LT course. However, a definitive comparison of the safety and efficacy of antiviral therapy initiated prophylactically versus on histological recurrence has not been performed, nor has any large study of antiviral therapy of post-LT HCV infection.
