Monte carlo model of stricture formation in esophageal photodynamic therapy

Abstract

A Monte Carlo simulation was developed for esophageal PDT. It was tested on a photosensitized pig esophagus model and compared to a published account of stricture formation in pigs. The simulation correctly predicted the damage.
