Mining Transportation Issues from Patient Portal Messages

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

Some patients experience difficulties in accessing healthcare because they were not able to find reliable transportation. For this project, we collected every patient portal message sent by patients in 2019 and selected every message with words related to transportation. We ended up with 177,658 words out of the original 59 million words and we plan to implement sentence embedding and clustering, followed by t-SNE dimensionality reduction.
