Measurement of indirect nuclear spin-spin coupling frequencies in YBa2Cu3O7

Abstract

We report a simple NMR experiment measuring individual 63Cu − 63Cu indirect nuclear coupling frequencies in YBa2Cu3O7. We show that the coupling interaction at T = 5K is of quite short range, indicating an anitferromagnetic correlation length ξ of ∼1 lattice constant or less.
