Abstract

The quantitative assessment of scaffold interconnectivity using Micro-computerized tomography (CT) and image analysis technique was discussed. Poly(propylene-fumarate) (PPF) was synthesized for making scaffolds by leaching process. Freeze fractured scaffolds were imaged with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). 2-D views of scaffold topology was observed by SEM showing large, open, apparently well-connected pores surrounded by polymer walls.
