Abstract

This chapter is focused on hepatocellular adenoma, an uncommon benign liver lesion which requires special attention due to the risk for bleeding and malignant transformation. A fundamental background is provided, followed by the discussion of the evolving roles of histology, imaging, and therapy. The recent identification of hepatocellular adenoma subtypes is reviewed with associated diagnostic and clinical implications.
