Abstract

Gender differences in the neuroendocrine regulation of the GH axis illustrate the elegant complexity of the feedback control of this critical growth-promoting and metabolism-regulating physiological axis. Further studies should help to pinpoint the hierarchical loci of regulatory control in health and disease.
