Abstract

The present paper reports a continuing effort in developing methods for quantifying myocardial properties during both diastolic and systolic phases and under controlled and varied conditions. Here, the authors report the application of finite element method to assess the contracting strength of myocardial fiber bundles in any selected region of LV wall during systole.
