Abstract

Massive acute DPH is one of the less common presenting manifestations of WG in the lung. This may occur as the only presenting manifestation of WG or, more commonly, as part of fulminant multisystem disease. In addition to the classic histologic findings of WG, a microangiitis ('capillaritis') is a relatively prominent feature in WG presenting in this way.
