Abstract

This case discusses the pharmacokinetic interaction between felodipine, carbamzapine, and phenytoin, resulting in decreased antihypertensive effi cacy. Felodipine is a cytochrome P450 3A4 substrate and carbamzepine and phenytoin are 3A4 inducers.
