Abstract

Capsule endoscopy (CE) has revolutionized many aspects of small bowel imaging. Despite its widespread use and expanding indications, there remains no currently validated credentialing guidelines or accreditation process for CE. This chapter will review the performance of CE and focus on the currently understood prerequisite level of expertise, cognitive skill sets, and specific tools for training that are essential for mastering capsule endoscopy.
