Abstract
Although often overlooked in adults, vaccination is an inexpensive, cost-effective means of preventing serious morbidity and mortality from infectious diseases. Primary care physicians have a unique opportunity to implement systems to ensuure that their patients are adequately immunized. Recommendations are included for eight vaccines to consider for use in adult primary care.
