Project Narrative: Chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer's disease and cancer occur mostly in late life. Treatments designed to treat these conditions as a group by targeting biological aging have the potential to delay the onset and progression of these conditions, therefore helping to add life to years, as opposed to merely adding years to life. The Translational Geroscience Network proposed in this application would help accelerate the development of such transformational treatments and their ultimate availability to patients.
