PROJECT NARRATIVE
The goal of our project is to combine validated polygenic risk scores (PRS) with conventional risk factors and
family history to calculate comprehensive risk profiles for 15 common diseases that pose a significant public
health burden. We will return risk estimates to 2500 participants (35% non-whites, 200 adolescents) and those
at the highest polygenic risk will see a health care provider to discuss risk reduction measures. We will assess
clinical, cost/utilization and psychosocial outcomes following return of results.
