PROJECT NARRATIVE This research proposal will dramatically improve the understanding of brain aneurysm occlusion, and complications such as side branch occlusion and elevated risks of thromboembolic complications, as well as provide new tools necessary to advance the field of flow diversion for treating intracranial aneurysms, allowing clinicians using current technologies to optimize outcomes and minimize complications, and investigators and engineers to develop improved devices, ultimately improving outcomes of treating brain aneurysms.
